I do love these dates that can only happen once a Century - here we are on 08-08-08. Today my friend Lisa Renea is getting married, she managed to keep it a secret from everyone until a couple of days ago, the Stealth Bride! Her friends are thrilled and wishing a long and happy life together for LR and Gary.
Also happening today - the opening ceremony of the Olympics in Beijing, China. The kiddos and I love to watch the Olympics, we'll be staying up late each night to take it all in. One of Molly's middle-school friends, Ariel Rittenhouse, is on the women's diving team, our own diving mermaid. It's so fun to see her go to Beijing knowing of all the years she has spent training and preparing for this moment. Ariel's family has made many sacrifices and been very devoted to the Olympic dream. Go Ariel!!
We love to watch everything, and the kiddos figure they can claim victory if the USA, Australia, England or Ireland win :) Do you watch the summer Olympics? Do you have a favorite sport or athlete to watch this year?

ReplyDeleteWe're having fun watching the Olympics, too. We're mainly concentrating on the gymnastics and the diving. We just don't have time to watch everything! :-)
