April seems to be Event Month in our family - birthdays, anniversaries, Easter, lots of reasons to celebrate. It's a month to count blessings, actually starting at the very end of March with the birthday of one brother, and the first day of April with the birthday of my second brother - I'm doubly blessed to have these two wonderful men in my life, they are amazing. I'm so grateful to my parents, whose anniversary we celebrate just two days later, for raising us in a home filled with love and respect. Just two days later we celebrate the birthday of my son, a fine young man if I do say so myself (and of-course I do :). Easter follows, then my own birthday, which I share with several friends. Many of my friends have April birthdays, when we were in high school we used to have one huge birthday party to celebrate together, good times! My grandmother has now passed, but I still mark her end of April birthday as a special day, it's also the birthday of my friend Penny, a great reason to celebrate the day and the end of April birthday season.

So, these are the birthday cards for my brothers. The lack of ribbons and brads, lumps and bumps? They have to make it to opposite ends of the planet without ripping through the envelope, the post office doesn't like my lumpy bumpy cards! Sending lots of love and best wishes for happy days and a year full of blessings.
