Miraculous Mail

Stamp Credits: Tree & text - Stampin' Up!, background by Judikins

Where exactly does time go? Where are my 'rollover minutes' for life? I'm thinking we really do only get each day once, better make it count, there are no rollover minutes at the end of the day. Inbetween rushing here and there like the white rabbit, I did make this card to launch off in global post. It's winging it's way South, and West.

I have little contretemps with the postal service now and then, items lost, or taking tooooo long to get where they're going, but overall I have to say I find the whole process nothing short of miraculous. Don't you think it's amazing we can just drop a little envelope in a mailbox and it can travel around the whole world, ideally arriving at just the very place you intended it to? In Australia our postie travelled by motorbike, large saddlebags full of mail. Here in the USA the local mail carriers glide around in little white jeeps. Quite magical, thanks postie (that's 'mail carrier' to those of you Stateside)!

  1. Sue your card is gorgeous!
I love your comment amount 'no rollover minutes' in life!!! So, we better make each day count!

FYI: Our mail comes via what-ever the rural carrier is driving... mostly their own rigs.
The 'normal' gal has a little white truck, converted with the steering wheel on the opposite side...
One gal drove a Mercedes! So, it just depends on what they got!

    Have a great day!

  2. I totally agree and it amazes me how quickly my mail gets to CA! Faster than it gets to London lol!!

I love love this card!! What a fab tree, looks like it's being blown around a bit just as our trees are right now - it's all showers and more showers today.

In the mad rush of life I hope you can find time to grab a few minutes for you today :)

    Big hugs! K xx

  3. Oh, Sweet Suzy Q-you and I know too well the fun antics of mail carriers!
One of my mail carries drives a huge extended cab Dodge Ram & he's only around 19 years old! Funny.

  7. Love this card Sue! And I was only thinking and marvelling about the postal system the other day. PS The Kalgoorlie posties are still on little motor bikes with saddlebags! These days they wear a lot of that fluoro orange of course but otherwise they look pretty much the same!
