Skyline in Piazza San Marco, Venice, ItalyBlazing heat and blue skies, humidity and humanity - that was our time in Venice. It was so classically as you see it in print, press and the arts that it was almost too much to take in, what an astounding place! We had a great time being tourists, joining in the general wonderment and jumping on and off vaporettos and islands. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Beautiful pics! I really like the serenity of the second photo. I can imagine sitting on the shore, listening to the gentle knocking of the boats, the waves brushing the shore, and the screech of a few birds. Oh, and there is a soft cool breeze too.

Wonderful views of Venice. In touristy places it is not easy to seek out the quiet moments that really allow the beauty of the place to shine through. Well done, these are a lovely memory of a special trip.
