Skywatch Friday - Real Weather!

Cloud Convention - storm rolling in

Those of you in places that have 'real weather' on a regular basis please don't laugh at this - we had REAL weather in Southern California this past week! Real clouds, real wind, real rain - it's all so REAL! OK, not freezing, and yes, we're back to blue skies and sunshine now, but in the interim it was fun to wrap up warm, dodge the rain, talk about the weather, and trash-talk all those crazy people who just can't drive in wet weather :)

Sunrise - see those little black clouds scudding in from the right?
They were moving so fast!

I would have loved to take more photos as the storm rolled in, but alas I had to go to work. To see what other Skywatchers are looking at when they look up and out, click HERE

  1. 'Plain sky drawings' are an endless photo material, aren't they.

  2. Gorgeous pictures. I was wishing the other evening that I had my camera. It was one of those really pretty red sunsets.

  4. Hi, Sue! Here in North Carolina we can go weeks without seeing clouds, too. So, I often get the camera out to snap pics of spectacular NC clouds when they happen! I totally get it! Love your cloud shots! :-)

  5. Hi Sue. I know what you mean about California weather (or lack of it). It's so refreshing when we do have something other than clear and sunny. I hope you have a great weekend, too.

  6. I'm glad your bright high sky is
connected to the sky in my town.

Your lovely card is filled with
    heartwarming tenderness.
I can imagine the happy face to
    whom I sent your postcard.
