Laissez le Bon Temps Roulez!

Stamp credits: Paper Artsy

Hi all, let the good times roll, it's Mardi Gras! The last hurrah before Lent begins. This is an ATC sized arch I made for Nancy's online challenge, it had to be a gothic arch, vintage images, and Mardi Gras theme. Many thanks to Leandra for the great PaperArtsy stamps, they were just perfect for this theme. Can't you image these serious gents letting loose in New Orleans? They need to loosen up a little :) Follow the parade, eat some Cajun/Creole food, listen to some jazz and dance to some wild Cajun music, have a drink in a questionable bar on Bourbon street, eat beignets in the wee hours of the morning at the Cafe du Monde - it's all good!

My Mum always made pancakes today, 'Pancake Day', before Lent, so of-course I'll be doing that for waffle boy. Do you have any Mardi Gras / Fat Tuesday / Shrove Tuesday traditions?

  2. What a page full of inspiration! Nice to see what you've been making. I just love those embossing folders you guys are using. It's almost miraculous that things can be embossed so beautifully and easily.

  4. Love your arch and am glad you could play. Now I am weepy because my Dad used to sing "Danny Boy" and the song reminds me of him and his time of passing. Beautiful music thanks for sharing it! :)
