Sad to say I've had to add word verification to blog comments, because some funky robots started posting wacky links and automated messages. Do you remember that old Saturday Night Live 'commercial' for Robot Insurance? It gets quoted often in our household, and now, I find word verification is the closest I can get to Robot Insurance. I tried hollering "Security!", but the big muscly goons in the tight T-shirts failed to show up.
Just for grins, here's the Robot Insurance skit, I love the disclaimer at the end - "Persons denying the existence of Robots may be Robots themselves" - something to think about :)
(Pause the music - above - before you play the video, all the better to hear you with m'dear)

Wishing you a Robot-free day.
LOL! I've never had the robot posting problem. Wonder why you're having it? The whole thing is over my head.
ReplyDeleteI had the same problem on typepad. Took off the word verification security thingy, and a few months later I noticed there were spam comments listed in my stats. I click that on and there's dozens of quotes from a porno site left on various older blog posts of mine. Yikes. I've been meaning to post a warning about that but was afraid no one would *get* what I was talking about.
ReplyDeletethanks for the funny movie. That gal slays me. She played a recent love interest of Bret and Jemaine on Flight of the Conchords. LOVE that show, by the way!
HIlarious! I hadn't seen that skit before. So sorry the robots found you. I've been able to avoid them so far.
