Skywatch Friday & A Blazing Star

Beach photo by Jamie, Australia

Life is whizzing by at an alarming rate, this week seems to have flown! Work is busy, my kiddos are out of school on Spring Break this week, and Easter is fast approaching. I haven't even had time to take photos of the sky, but my brother in Australia took this great photo near his home, I'd love to be sitting with him on the beach at sunset!

Although I haven't achieved much in the way of crafting this week, I finished this quilt block last week and it's going into the group project. It's a 'Blazing Star' block, I do love those. Originally I had planned to arrange the pieces so the dark diamonds were on the outside of the star, but when I had the sections stitched together and played around with them it just seemed right to put the dark pieces in the center. I love the way quilt blocks can morph like that in the making.

I'm hoping to get a little crafting time in this weekend. Wishing you a great weekend too! Happy Easter, blessings for Passover. To see what other Skywatchers are looking at, check here - Skywatch Friday.

  1. What a peaceful scene from your brother's photo. Great view...and your blazing star - lovely. It almost looks like you got the color inspiration for the star from the colors of the sea and sky in Australia! Enjoy SWF...
