Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (Tiger Lily)
One of my fave types of card to make is a thank you card. I'm grateful every day for a life full of blessings, even on the most trying of days there's plenty to be grateful for. My life is full of challenges, sometimes it's overwhelming, but in the middle of it all I still feel we are blessed. I'm great at thinking thankful thoughts, I'm good at saying thank you, but I'm really SLOW when it comes to making cards and posting them out. I'm blessed with an abundance of the procrastination gene.
For this card I used some text torn from a book I found in Switzerland, we were in the German-speaking part of the country, so it was fun to pick up some German books to play with. I tore a page into strips and sprayed it with Glimmer Mist - it has an amazing glow to it that you really see when the card is at an angle, or in the light. More glimmer mist on the finished card, I like the random splatter painted look it gives. Can I capture the shimmer and shine on camera? No, I certainly can't, as you can see :) Click on the picture to see it a little larger.
While I was on vacation, Aussie Scrap Source posted some of my projects using Stampers Anonymous (Tim Holtz Collection) - thanks girls! It was fun to see my projects featured, along with some by Rachel Greig, my Aussie friend who is the genius behind Darkroom Door. I'm grateful to Rach for sharing her wonderful stamps and paper goods, tons of fun to play with.
Hope you're enjoying the weekend, it's super hot here again, General Santa Ana is marching back into town just when I was getting all excited about Autumn. I picked up some sunflowers this week for the kitchen table, and a cute pumpkin. Bring on the cooler weather, I'm ready!

Gorgeous card Sue. The colours look so warm and rich. I especially like the way you've done that image behind the sentiment... it looks bleached.
