Memories (and Losing Them)

Stamp Credits: Darkroom Door (flowers, text)
Stampers Anonymous (color burst), Judikins (crackle texture)

Trying to break out of my color comfort zone, I played around with orange a pink, a definite challenge for me :) The result was this birthday card for my niece, currently winging it's way over land and sea to reach her door, hopefully she'll like it, it was made with lots of love. There's a large postal strike imminent in her locale, but hopefully this will slip through ...

I can't claim to have done much over the weekend, but I was having a little memory lane wander back to Italy, so I made some bruschetta one evening, and caprese the next. I love the way a little glimpse, a sound, a taste or a scent can bring back memories in a heartbeat. Did you know that both bruschetta and caprese taste great for breakfast? Just a little research I was doing :)

My current challenge for the week? School, and homework - luckily for me I have a study-buddy at work who's taking the same course, after studying together we passed our first exam with flying colors. Phew! I swear my memory was MUCH better 20 years ago!
