Two posts in two days? Wow :) Usually a mild mannered creative type, I turn into a mad fan when world sports events take place - this time the World Cup in South Africa. I will watch every game I possibly can, I just LOVE it!! Today, it's England v USA, tomorrow my boys the Socceroos (Australia) v Germany, ah, what a great weekend!
Required elements for a soccer/football fan? Passion - for the game, for the players, for your country - just bring your passion and you'll be in great shape. Wear your colors, maybe some face paint, some people even go for body paint - I won't post those photos, you can Google them :) These guys are passionate about the Socceroos -
Not to seem too shallow, but part of the sport these days seems to be showing off your abs, and who am I to complain about that? After scoring a goal many players will take off their shirt, these two make a habit of it, and if I were in such great shape I might just do the same thing -
Harry Kewell (Australia)
My fave ab guy of all time can't play this time due to an injury, but he's over there attending the games and supporting his team.
So - pick a team, grab a flag, and get into The Beautiful Game.
Holy Batman!!! That Vanity Fair cover is HOT!!!! I'll take Portugal. Mama.
ReplyDeleteRooney looks TERRIFYING in that picture, and seeing how he tears up the field I'd hate to be in defence when he's around. I make a big deal about pretending not to like football but growing up in the Liverpool area like I did, it's kind of in your blood :) I avoid all the big screens in town, but only cause I know I'll get sucked in and end up drinking beer, jumping up and down and screaming at the ref :D
ReplyDeleteI saw that Vanity Fair issue at the grocery store. Now that is something to keep me entertained while waiting in line :)
ReplyDeleteThese pics are GOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLL! :)
ReplyDeleteRonaldo is the only one I recognize...LOL. Could it be because my background is Portuguese? Yeah, ok, but....he's just hawwwt. heehee.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I don't get the whole soccer thing. I started watching the USA/England game but a) I understood very little of it and b) those freakin' horns were driving me crazy. But the eye candy nice!
ReplyDeleteGee you got me, just as i was getting ready to say something about the silly side of sport you rolled out the cheesecake, thanks for brightening my day.
ReplyDeleteWoohoo, who wouldn't be wild about soccer looking at those photos. Hubby is a huge fan and all the games were on here. I may be a fan too, now that I've seen those happy photos :)
