A little time travel here, back to Summer 2009 when I met up with my family at my brother's home in Switzerland. Those Swiss have it good - everywhere you look there are picturesque views, it's astoundingly beautiful. This photo was taking looking out from a funicular going up a mountain (yes, there's the edge of the window frame, sorry about that :)
At the top of the mountain we met these feathered friends, to whom the sky belongs. They were soaring up there, along with some intrepid humans who were leaping off the mountain with parasails - amazing, I'd LOVE to do that!

At the end of the day my bro looks out at this view from his apartment - I don't think I'd ever grow tired of watching the constantly changing sky over the lake from his balcony, would you?

oh, I love when you do skywatch! It is always so beautiful and it makes me happy to see your pics!
ReplyDeleteVery nice skies. One of the problems of living in Western Australia is that we have no mountains :(
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photographs. I've never been to Switzerland (unless I was too young to remember), but I'm sure I'd love it as mountains are my favorite scenery.
ReplyDeleteHi there - thanks for visiting my blog - I think you may be interested in my other blog as well - you can reach it from the "about this blog" tab. (In hindsight that does not make much sense!)
ReplyDeleteThe pictures of the birds - Alpine Choughs I think - are great - they look like they have a bit of personality!

Pretty pictures with delightful views, the ravens look like a couple of charachters.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scenery. Makes me look forward to my summer holiday:)
ReplyDeleteHi, Sue! What gorgeous photos! I especially like the first one of the mountain lake, with all the trees. So pretty. And I would love, love, ♥LOVE!♥ looking at the sky from that balcony every night! Just wonderful! Thanks for sharing your photos! :-)
ReplyDeleteI wish I woke up to such a view. Beautiful!
