Hi folks, I've been wandering around as usual, just bits o' this and bits o' that. I had a great time writing a post about a night out at the theater, but couldn't for the life of me get the formatting to work - some sort of change in tools and layouts in the blogger universe and oh well, chalk that one up to the blogosphere - but here's one of the photos from the evening - rather lovely vintage neon in front of the Orpheum Theater in Downtown Los Angeles. The uber-talented cast included Eddie Izzard, Tim Curry, Billy Connolly and Tracy Ullman, among others, the play was written by Eric Idle of Monty Python fame.
Earlier this month I had a wonderful day out at the Huntington Library with my librarian friend Mary. We started the day at a Women's Studies seminar, then wandered around the gardens, including the fabulous and finally re-opened Japanese garden, checked out illuminated texts including a Guttenberg Bible, and just generally enjoyed a good wander.

This weekend my son and I wandered up to Hollywood for a book signing - 'Here Comes Everyone' by James Fearnley, one of the founding members of The Pogues. Can't wait to read the book, it promises to be fascinating and a fun trip down memory lane. Speaking of reading, I'm currently reading 'Game of Thrones', thanks to my son's recommendation, I'm on book two, and can't put it down, positively medieval and magical :) Anyone else sharing that particular addiction?

Sister Cities - who knew Los Angeles had so many?
Not me :)
After a lovely long Memorial Day weekend we're gearing up for the week to come. Flynn has graduation next week, this week is Senior Project presentation, robotic team presentation at Honda, end of the year parties and the prom - it's all go around here.
