A Flash of a Firefly in the Night

I caught this moody sunset sky leaving work one evening, impressively fiery and dark, like a painting by Turner. We had a dinner last night for one of our leaders who was chief of staff this past two years. Carrie, the executive assistant for the CEO, organized the dinner. A good time was had by all, beautiful Carrie left to drive home, had an accident on the way, and died. Life is fleeting, make every day count. Do you need to hear this again - don't drink and drive, hand over those keys and let someone else guide you home, the life you save may be your own.
What is life? It is a flash of a firefly in the night.
It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime.
It is the little shadow which runs across the grass
and loses itself in the sunset.
