After a very dark and wet winter for us, we're enjoying some fab blue skies and sunshine, very spring-like weather, perfectly timed to fall on the weekend. The trees are blossoming and the bulbs are sprouting greenery getting ready to bloom, the birds are singing away all day long - what's not to love about that?? Doors and windows wide open, music playing, and time to make some cards, it's all good :)

I've fallen for seam binding, it was only a matter of time until I gave in to the crinkly colorful goodness. Just neutral shades on this card, but I promise I bought some pretty colors too! I found it online at Etsy, at the Prairie Bird Boutique be sure to check out Prairie Bird's other site too for some very beautifully hand dyed ribbons, lovely!
This card is winging it's way to Australia courtesy of the postie. We celebrated Australia Day this week (January 26) with Vegemite, Milo and Tim Tams - oh, I raised a glass or two of Australian wine too :) Back home I'm sure they did it properly with BBQs and outdoor concerts, but I did my best in California winter. What are you thrilled with this week?
Gorgeous card!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful lily stamp...and great card Sue.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds so lovely where you are I may get a flight over! :-)
Nice to have them doors open! Can almost remember what that must be like... Reminds me of the Flogging Molly tune, "The Sun Never Shines on Closed Doors" (hear it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8K-wzM8-mTc).
