ATC Swap - 'Red' Theme

It's just beautiful here today - sunshine and blue skies, birds singing, and almost no scheduled activities - wonderful! I plan to get outdoors for a while (and drag my son out into the light with me, my daughter escapes this torture as she's working today), have some creative time with ink and stamps, and just enjoy the day as it unfolds.

This is an ATC I made for the Darkroom Door February ATC swap, the theme for the month is 'Red' - there's still time to send something in if you want to join in, they're due by Feb. 28th. Rachel hosts a monthly ATC swap, so if you don't join in this time you can plan for another during the year. They're a ton of fun :) I had a good time messing about with Perfect Pearls Mists on the ticket, I played with Violet and Heirloom Gold, they are quite translucent so you can spray away without fear of covering up the stamped image, I like that!

Supplies: Stamps - Darkroom Door (Venice collection)
Ranger Perfect Pearls Mist (Heirloom Gold, Forever Violet)
Twinkling H2Os (Solar Gold, Garnet), Stickles (Copper)
Tim Holtz (ticket die-cut, Tiny Attacher, Distress Inks)

I also broke out some old faithfuls that haven't been used for a while - Twinkling H2Os, to add a little sparkle to the lamps. After painting them gold, I remembered that the lamp glass in Venice is actually rose tinted, so I added some rosy glow and some coppery Stickles to light them up. Note to self - use those fun supplies you have stashed away!!

Have a fun weekend, hope you get to do whatever your heart desires! Are you using up your art stash?
